The government has announced today that the NHS App will be used as a ‘vaccine passport’ for overseas travel.

Owned and run by the NHS, the NHS App is a simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services on your smartphone or tablet. From appointments to repeat prescriptions, lots of our patients use the app. It saves time and means you can take care of your healthcare, whenever it suits you.

The NHS App is available on iOS and Android. To use it, you must be aged 13 and over and registered with a GP surgery in England. You can also access NHS App services from your desktop or laptop computer if you prefer.

The NHS App is not to be confused with the NHS COVID-19 app which is a contact tracing app.
